Ember: Outfoxed is the second book in Ember's Silver Skates series. The book takes place a few months after the previous one. Ember has acclimated to life with the Sterling brothers and being Avery's mom.

Everything seems to be fine until Avery wants siblings, which makes Ember rather uncomfortable with the notion of being pregnant. After putting the conversation aside, Ember goes to the skating rink. It is here that she happens to come in close contact with another kitsune, Celio. Immediately the two are drawn to each other, much to the chagrin of Ember. Ember feels conflicted by her feelings to kiss Celio, which in her mind is a betrayal to her mates.

Surprisingly the brothers aren't upset with her as she thought they would be. Celio and Ember soon find that they are definitely connected when it is discovered that Celio's sister-in-law, Aithne is Ember's long-lost sister.

After going back to the rink to see if Celio would show up, Ember gets more than she bargained for when she finally meets her sister and her family. Once everyone had a chance to talk, Ember was feeling overwhelmed. She now found out that she had a surviving sister and a possible new mate was too much for Ember to handle. How will Ember handle the situation?

What I enjoyed about this book is the honesty of the characters. I think a book is good when the characters can be honest with themselves and each other. Since these characters can hear each other's thoughts it is easier to be open and honest with one another. Ember's openness about being scared to admit that she might have a bond with Celio and how it would affect her family. Ms. Bradley does a great job of translating everyone's thoughts. No one character feels the same.

I can't wait to see what's in store in the next book in the Silver Skates series.
