Infinite Exposure Fashion Show SS21 poster

Fashion week is here! Infinite Exposure Fashion Show (powered by Peekapose Studios) brought their A-game by treating us to a virtual show. The event featured many designers from all over NYC and abroad. Designers such as Zentencreation, Michael Emmanuel Couture, Glow-Art, Istylecreations, Munstruck Company, Virginia Cathey Collections, Tokyo Twiggy, Niche, Poar, Flex Your Strong XCARII Fashion, Rebelle Clothing, Carlos Benguigui, Sew Me Fashion, Milkaya Laijah, KD Rose LA Diva, and Territa Torres Designs.

The show's presenter, Juan Carlos Guevara open up the three-segment show with a vignette of SS20's fashion show.

Sew Me Fashion
designs started things off with a white knitted off the shoulder midriff and brown shorts tied in the front. Adjustable for different sizes. Snakeskin thigh-high boots capped off the look. This look definitely would turn heads when being worn on a night on the town. Another look that caught my attention was a white see-through beaded top and shorts combination. A train was later added. It can be worn out with friends or even as a modern wedding outfit for the woman who loves a lot of glitz.

Niche
(New York City) three designs. I enjoyed all of the designs. The one that stood out most was a white top and yellow dress and a green tulle shawl. I liked the yellow skirt for the design at the bottom. However, I would have liked to see more of Niche's designs. Hopefully, they will return to the next show.

JNERI by Zentencreation, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Jneri by Zentencreation (based in Orlando) was the third designer. Zentencreation knits and crochets her designs. In her interview with Dira Ve, Zentencreation said that when she sees design in her head, she just has to make it come to life. According to her, she is looking to opening a boutique and a website soon. So stay tuned for Zentencreation.

Backpacks by Poarwear, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Flushing brand, PoARwear (featured in last year's IEFW's show) is a unique company known for its handbags and backpacks. The backpacks are very trendy. The white and blue bag that is featured in the show is from their Spring 2019 collection. It is important to note that the material is made from vegan leather and polyester.  It has several compartments which can hold important things, such as, keys, passports, cellphones, and money. These bags are perfect for traveling abroad, great for study books, or for a nice day on the beach!
Flex Your Strong XCARII Fashion, Screenshot by Samantha K.
Flex Your Strong XCARII Fashion from New Jersey features strong and fierce designs. Great for making a statement or going out on a night on the town. Flex Your Strong provides a sassy, youthful look that you can enjoy. The red piece featured below is my favorite from the collection.

Rebelle Clothing, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Speaking of sassy, Rebelle Clothing says it all in it's name. The collection is a combination of rebellious and sexy. With it's leather coupled with floral patterns, is the perfect blend of breaking all the rules and not.  This look is great for going out to the club or going out on a date. I can see Rebelle Clothing (Connecticut) being around for a long time.
Glow-Art, Dira Ve (model), Screenshot by Samantha K.

Ron Vestal's Glow-Art brings a fun and unique aspect to fashion. His splashes of color bring his pieces to life. They are like moving canvasses. As featured in the picture, the colors are vibrant. His use of neon body paint graphic art transforms onto the apparel in such a way that it makes whoever wears it look spectacular.  The teal and red skater dress is everything. The dress surprises you when you see the image of the woman with the rose in her mouth. It's bold and beautiful. Glow-Art's target audience is for adults who like to have fun. I can't wait to see more from Mr. Vestal in the future.

Territa Torres Designs, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Territa Torres Designs (San Diego) collection saw yellows with floral print, as well as red velvet suit and dress-both for adding a little pop if you are working in the corporate world, or going out for the evening. One outfit featured (below) was a pink and brown ensemble. What I thought stood out was the ripples in the blouse. It complements the belt. The belt ties in the back, like a sash or ribbon. The skirt has pockets and pleats on one side of the garment. This look had little surprises, such as the pockets and the belt. I was amazed because of the subtle designs.

IStylecreations By Imani, Screenshot by Samantha K.
Brooklyn's own Istylecreations collection is a series of bright colors. From her white beaded dress with a blue feathered train to her olive green evening gown to the orange chiffon evening gown. The dress has a high waist split with a double strap single-shoulder ensemble.  I love this look because the color accentuates the model and everything around her. You immediately notice her. She feels important and she is.

Munstruck Company, Screenshot by Samantha K.
From Brooklyn to the Bx, Munstruck  Company, (who has been featured here previously) owner and designer Abigail Moreira introduced her Night Collection.  The collection made up of white, black, and metallic. Munstruck's designs can be for both casual and evening wear. One of the featured looks is a metallic tank top with a white dress.  Ms. Moreira brings a certain level of sophistication and elegance that lets you know she cares about every piece she makes.  My only question with two successful shows under her belt, what is next for Munstruck Company?

KD Rose LA Diva, Screenshot by Samantha K.
We jump back to Brooklyn with KD Rose LA Diva.  This collection of African prints and vibrant colors seemingly inspired by the '90s has sharp patterns together gives a modern look to an otherwise traditional style. What I liked about this collection is the African vibe that it portrays. It doesn't play things safe. KD takes elements from African culture and gives adds a modern look, making it sexy. It is done in a way that gives respect to tradition while embracing its sex appeal.
Virginia Cathey Collections, Dira Ve (model), Samantha K

Virginia Cathey Collections (also previously featured here) introduced her Simplicity Collection.  Inspired by getting back to herself and the climate we live in with CoVID, Virginia made her collection with the idea of lacing up our bootstraps and take care of everything else. In her interview with Dira Ve, Virginia feels that the process of selecting her models is as important as her collection "because they bring the items to life." The models she chooses have to have so much of a representation of themselves that she wants them to represent her and her line. That is a true statement coming from a woman who definitely chooses the right people to represent her collection with a sense of style, grace, and attitude. My favorite piece from her design is featured above. The glittered Jersey knit a stretchy material. I enjoy the way how the dress looks because it moves like flowing water.

Michael Emmanuel Couture, Screenshot by Samantha K.
Michael Emmanuel Couture (Florida) is definitely a one of kind company. This season Michael Emmanuel decided to use masks in his pieces because of the pandemic. His idea of "walking out with flair" is based on the notion that a person can look fabulous as long as they are covered. Michael wants his customers to feel "comfortable, look fabulous, and want them to know that when they walk out they are going to be wearing something that is 1) no else has because my designs are custom made strictly for you." No two people wear the same garment. Michael Emmanuel's noticeable designs are his signature fans. Fans are such an intricate part of his garments. They have their own personality. I can't wait to see what else Michael Emmanuel has to offer.
Milkaya Laijah, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Next from the city regarded as the Fashion Capital of the World, Paris, Milkaya Laijah, introduced her line. The collection featured lots of green and white. Each garment perfect for the spring season. Like the single-shoulder green with white polka-dot romper. It has a bow tied on one side, giving the illusion that the romper may be a two-piece.  It is great for both day and evening wear. I don't see that many rompers that have one sleeve, so this was definitely unique to me.
Carlos Benguigui, Screenshot by Samantha K.
Next, we have Carlos Benguigui of Venezuela. The collection of menswear had fun patterns and shapes. My favorite jacket from the line is the white jacket with the blue leaf patterns. I enjoyed the collar makes the neck more pronounced. Carlos isn't afraid to use his colors. It is fun and playful. However, it isn't always that playful as displayed in the show with his edgier looks like his leather jackets. His line is fit for the gentleman and rebel in you!
Tokyo Twiggy, Screenshot by Samantha K.

Lastly, Tokyo Twiggy's line featured cool patterns in and styles. Obviously, to anyone who has seen Tokyo's work, she thinks outside of the box. Her streetwear collection is hip. From her purple and red top to her black and white poncho.  Her outfits are so indescribable that they left me speechless The outfit that stood out for me is the double-patterned skirt with a redshirt. I like the belt because it seems to be knitted or crocheted. For some, it might mean there is a lot going on, but it makes the garment noticeable. It stands out which what Tokyo Twiggy is doing. Standing out above the rest.

I loved this season's fashion show. Given the circumstances with the pandemic, the designers brought their best for this show.   Juan Carlos Guevara, Dira Ve, and Marly Lotus did a wonderful job putting the show together. I enjoyed the commercials and giveaways. The show was interactive, which is always a good thing for the company and its fans. This was the third show that I have attended and they keep outdoing themselves. I can not wait to see what they have in store for our next show. Hopefully, by then things would go back to normal.
