Review: Ember

Ember Ember by Hanleigh Bradley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Things are definitely heating up in Ember, the latest book in the Silver Skates series by Hanleigh Bradley.
Ember comes back to Silver Springs to compete in a skating competition, much to her dismay. She loves to skate but hates the town. The only thing on her mind is beating her rival and current champion, Addie Ravenwood who has it in for Ember.
Despite her Addie, Ember is determined to win. But when she is drawn to Dominick and his daughter Avery on the ice, things are just beginning to warm up. Later, she meets up with Holden and Klaus separately, who happen to be the twin younger brothers of Dominic. Soon, Ember discovers she is drawn to all three brothers, but is apprehensive because she didn't plan on falling for all three.
Ember and the sexy Sterling brothers find themselves in a bit of a dilemma because of Ember's fire Kitsune power. Her power if not controlled has the ability to burn whoever she comes in contact with.
Ember, in my opinion, is the best book in the series that Hanleigh Bradley has written. Even though there isn't much of Ember's back story, it is briefly mentioned that she grew up in the orphanage after her father left here there, but we don't know why he left her. The same for the Sterling brothers...little is known about them. However, I think that's what makes them so mysterious and alluring.
I enjoyed the pacing of the story, it didn't feel rushed and it didn't drag on like some other books tend to do. It was perfect. I think with the way how the book ended, we are definitely getting a sequel and I can't wait for it. Cheers to Hanleigh! She has done it again!
